Holiday Gift Guide 2015

Holiday Gift Guide 2015
While I love receiving gifts, I have to say that it's gifting that makes the holiday season for me. There's nothing quite as satisfying as picking out the perfect present and watching that person open it in delight!

Here are some of my top picks for gifts this year.

Lorna Jane Insulated Lunch Bag $39
While I'm a Luluaddict for sure, this cute little insulated lunch bag from Lorna Jane is giving me life! I love how it's fashioned like a regular paper bag to give an old school vibe. Perfect for a girl on the go or even a teenage girly girl.

Dogeared Three Wishes Necklace $52
I'm a huge fan of dainty jewelry and this Dogeared necklace is a great choice for a holiday gift! I love that the design has a specific meaning of three wishes. A great gift for women of all ages.

Kate Spade "Glitter is my favorite color" iPhone case $40
Need I say more? This Kate Spade iPhone case is pink & sparkly. Definitely my stamp of approval over and over!

SEPHORA COLLECTION Be Spotted The Voyager Bag $28
One can never have too many cosmetic bags! This pink spotted one from the Sephora Collection is a perfect gift for someone who has a case of the travel bug.

Tatcha Holiday Set $88
Auspiciously priced at $88, this Tatcha Holiday Set is a great deal and a great gift! As you remembered, my love for Tatcha products started here. Since then, I've used it on and off, but it's still one of the best skincare line I've tried.

S'well Rose Gold Water Bottle  $42
The S'well Bottle is definitely one of my favorite discoveries... EVER! Coupled with their latest Rose Gold edition, you've got a winner!

Confessions of a Bottle Blonde

Everyone knows that blondes have more fun, but what they don't tell you about is the amount of maintenance required to keep up with those golden locks. A few months ago, I decided to trade in my pink hair for a blonde ombré and I quickly learned the two cardinal rules of being a bottled blonde:

1. Thou shall not let your blonde hair turn brassy.
2. Thou shall go to great lengths to keep your deep fried hair hydrated.

Easy enough right? Absolutely not! I'm not saying that I have it all under control, but I've picked up a few tricks (and products) that I'd love to share.

Here's a photo of my lovely goldie locks to start things off!

#1 Thou Shall Not Let Your Blonde Hair Turn Brassy

How the heck do you do that? Let me just say, I had a complete freak out after my hair started turn orange a couple weeks into my new do. After some research, I picked up some purple shampoo to aid my brassy hair. From the ones that I've tried, Phyto's Phytargent Shampoo is my favorite. The purple was the most pigmented (see photo below) and my hair seriously brightened and lightened after one wash. The cost is a little steep, but since I only need to use it on part of my hair, I mix it into my regular shampoo for daily use to help justify the cost.

2. Thou shall go to great lengths to keep your deep fried hair hydrated

Unfortunately for me, cardinal rule #2 is much harder than #1. I've struggled my whole life to keep my lion's mane looking healthy. Since I have naturally wavy hair, it tends to look more fried than it is and the blonde is not forgiving at all. Fortunately, I've come across a few products that I'm absolutely loving right now!

The Paul Mitchell Forever Blonde line is simply amazing. It's super hydrating and also helps brighten my blond hair, although I wouldn't use it without the purple shampoo. I use Forever Blonde Shampoo, Forever Blonde Conditioner and Forever Blonde Dramatic Repair.

On top of using a hydrating shampoo and conditioner, I've also started to use hair masks. The Hello Hair Hydrating Mask from Hello Hair is my favorite. Aside from the cute packaging, the product smells simply divine and it leaves my hair feeling silky smooth.  I got the 100g size and I've been able to use it 4 times on my super thick shoulder length hair.

That's pretty much it for my tips on being a blonde! What are some of your hair secrets for keeping your locks on point?

Latest Haul: Lululemon

I've recently discovered the wonders of SoulCycle (see my reviews for the SF locations here and here), which definitely refueled my love for Lululemon. Everyone wears Lulu there, so it's hard not to want to swing by after class! It's such an outrageous relationship, but there's just something about their gym swag that keeps me forking out the big bucks.

Here are a few things I picked up within the last few weeks. Most things are still available and some are even on sale!

1. Wunder Under Crop II *Full-On Luon (Roll Down) in Moody Mirage

I fell for these crops the minute I spotted them on LululemonAddicts. In fact, I called multiple stores to try to locate them. The material is great and I didn't have any issues with them being see through or sliding down my hips.

In hind sight, I really wish that I had held off and waited until these came out instead. The print is similar enough that I simply can't justify the cost.

2. If You're Lucky Bra in Moody Mirage White Deep Navy/Heathered Slate/Naval Blue

As you can tell, I just love this Moody Mirage print! I actually bought this bra with Coachella in mind. I knew I needed some bra tops with enough support for my gals and that isn't string tied. I don't want to risk someone pulling off my top.

This bra top offers just enough coverage in a cute shape and style. I don't typically like Lulu sports bras, but this one actually offers enough support!

3. Seamlessly Plunge Bra - This bra isn't in stock on the US page, so I linked from the HK site. This color is currently on sale in store for only $34! Snatch it up before it sells out.

I love the back detail of this bra and the front is extremely flattering. Unfortunately, this doesn't offer enough coverage for heavy work outs, but it's a cute little crop top that could work for yoga, spin or even going out.

4. The Oneness Tank in Black

This is another one that's currently on sale! I got it for $39 and I'm absolutely lovin' it. I know it looks  a little odd in the stock photos, but I highly recommend giving it a try in store. It's super cute for yoga, spinning or even a hike.

Do I need to say more about this lovely top? The back mesh is beautifully draped and the front has two mesh panels to keep it interesting. The material is also buttery soft and made of their swim fabric which is sweat-wicking. I could definitely wear this as a cover up to and from the gym and also as a normal top.

There you have it, my extremely guilty haul from Lululemon.

Nail Swag

I haven't really done a nail swag post in some time, so I just thought I'd give a quick update. I haven't had as much time lately to do my nails, but luckily, I recently discovered Jamberry through my cousin. It's such a quick way to spice up nails and there's no drying time!

If you haven't heard of Jamberry before, they are at-home DIY nail wraps that's applied with heat. Unlike other nail wraps that are available, they actually bond to your nail, and it's said to last up to 10 days without damaging your nail at all. They also have so many different designs to mix and match!

I'm going to be extremely honest and say that after two sets, I'm still learning how to apply them on perfectly. So far I've always had issues with the tip peeling back, but I'll update again once I have more practice. In the meantime, here are my two nail sets using Jamberry plus traditional polish!

Nail polish used: White nails (Zoya, Purity) Black accent (Zoya, Anais)
Jamberry: Black and White Stripe

Nail polish used: Mauve (Essie, ladylike) Sparkles (Essie, jazzy jubilant)
Jamberry: Ditsy Floral

If you've used Jamberry and have any tips, please let me know!

Tiff's Picks: S'well Bottles

Happy last day of January!

I was on a hunt for a new water bottle last month and I stumbled on the water bottle that changed my life. I never knew I could love a water bottle so much until I found the S'well bottle.

Not only is it as sexy as a bottle could get, but it's ridiculously good as well. Drinks stay cool for up to 24 hours and hot for 12. In fact, I took my bottle filled with ice cubes to a Bikram yoga class and the ice cubes were still clinking after a whole 90 minutes!

The bottles come in an array of colors, finish and three different sizes-- 9oz, 17oz and 25oz. Also, you could customize however you'd like with their chalk pens! The chalk washes right off with warm water.

My first pick was the 17oz Pink Champagne from their Glitter Collection, but I quickly decided that I needed a 2nd smaller one that could fit in my purse. So within days, I picked up a 9oz Amethyst from the Stone Collection.

The price tag is a little hefty on these bottles, but they're oh so chic! I also love that the S'well bottle is started by a kick-ass woman.

If the color/finish/size of the one you want is in stock, I highly recommend snatching it up ASAP! They tend to go out of stock really quickly. You buy them at Nordies, Urban Outfitters or on their website.

Do you have a favorite go-to reusable bottle?
