Hairy Situation

I've always been known for my thick, wild and unruly hair. Don't believe me? Ask my middle school friends to describe me and I bet you that 9/10 would say my puffy hair!

Last August, I woke up with hair so bad that I decided to chop it all off. The results were mediocre and a year later, my hair grew right back to where it was. (On the plus side, my hair grows like wild weeds. I seriously need a hair cut every 2-3 months!)

Before I get into my latest hair venture, I just wanted to share a few hair products that helps with taming my hair.

1. The Wet Brush - I got this in my monthly PopSugar Must Have box. I'm not sure what's the deal, but somehow this brush can magically brush through my wet hair like no other brushes!

2. Organix Light Penetrating Moroccan Argan Oil -  Before finding this oil, I've tried a plethora of oils including MoroccanOil. I've always found that the other oils tend to weight my hair down and flatten it out. This oil is amazing. A little goes a long way and I've never hair issues with it making my hair flat.

3. Tangle Teezer - I gave this bug-like brush a try because it's been all over the blogosphere. If you don't have one, I suggest you to go buy one ASAP. This little sucker can get all the tangles out, no matter how horrifying!

4. It's a 10 Miracle Leave in Conditioner - I've actually started using the It's a 10 line of hair products and though it is on the ultra pricey side, it works wonders. If the rest of the line is too pricey for you, I'd suggest giving the leave in conditioner a try.
Hair Products I Love
I had this post in my drafts for the past week and before I could even finish it, I've already done it again and chopped off 10inches of hair! Shoulder length hair seems to be the trend right now and I've been dying to give it another try.

Here's what my hair looked like before I went in for the kill.
The end results! So far, I'm loving it. My head feels like it's 10lbs lighter and it seems to be much more manageable. This will probably the last time I chop off my hair like this in a while. I have a few wedding obligations going on next year and long hair just looks so much better in weddings.

So there you have it, my hair story. What are some of your favorite hair products?

Your hair looks gorgeous either way! I've been thinking about getting my hair chopped to my shoulder... but I'm so scared. I know it would be more manageable and professional...but but but...
I've heard so much about the Wet Brush, I'd like to give that a try.
Love my tangle teezer & it's a 10 as well!!
