Tiki Tiki Boom

Last Friday night was the kick off of my two day Tiki Tour! First stop was a cute little spot called Bamboo Hut.

Bamboo Hut
479 Broadway
(b/t Kearny St & Rowland St)
San Francisco, CA 94133

It was a farewell party to a family friend who is moving down to San Diego. I don't quite believe in forever goodbyes so I looked at it as a perfect opportunity to celebrate-- celebrate for future memories of San Diego! For the party, they not only rented out the entire bar but had open bar the entire time too! Danger!

We, and by we I mean my dad, Mr. W., auntie Cindy and myself, shared two volcano bowls and many a shots of tequila! Here's a look of the volcano bowl. Isn't it pretty?

Here's round two. Not as pretty but just as strong! For those of you unfamiliar with a volcano bowl, it is a fruity drink mixed with a ton of alcohol with a shot of 151 (on fore) in the middle!

I forgot to take pepcid AC to hide my Asian glow so the end result is my face looking like a tomato!

**quick tip: if you are Asian and you turn red with alcohol, try taking pepcid AC beforehand and watch the miracles of your cheeks staying a neutral color therefore masking your drunk face! Try it! Works like a charm!

We had so much fun that La Beebs wanted to join in! Here she is joining in on some island couture!

I have a tiki bar part 2 coming up. I love tiki bars-- the island theme, the tropical inspired decor and yummy but deadly fruity drinks! If you havent experienced a tiki bar, I highly suggest you locate the closest one to you and head on over! You won't be disappointed!

Wow, that drink looks deadly good!.. or just deadly (hah, if you know what I mean...)

Are you suppose to take the shot of 151 after? Or is that just there to keep the fire going? :/
