Nook Cover

Ever since I got my nook, I've been spending all my free time reading. I've always loved reading and my nook makes it ever more fun! Of course I have to dress my nook up prettily! I went with this Kate Spade cover from Barnes and Noble. It's perfectly polka dotted and pink. :)

This little note from Kate Spade only validates my love for her style and culture. I'm so glad I went with the nook instead of the kindle-- so I can keep buying cute little Kate Spade covers!

In case you're curios, the book I'm reading is "Shit My Father Says" by Justin Halpern. I was unaware of his Twitter but apparently he tweets funny things that his father says everyday. I just started the book today and already am halfway through. The book is hilarious and I literally laughed out loud at some of the ridiculousness! He has these quotes in between chapters and I'd thought share one with you!

Hope everyone is having a happy Tuesday night!

Final Day of Christmasing

Happy holidays everyone! I hope everyone has a fabulous Christmas and got everything your little heart desired! I always get really sad on the 27th of December because I feel like it really marks the end of the holiday season! I know New Years is coming up next week but it never feels like much for me-- just another day and another excuse to go get my drink on until me liver hates me.

This year I had a fantastic turn out as far as Christmas gifts and I still haven't met with everyone yet! Just thought I'd show you guys my Christmas presents part 1!

Miss Karleen got me a curling iron, 2 free curling lessons and some pink sparklers for my hair. Again, curling iron was in my wish list and she did not get a copy of my wish list! My friends just know me so well!

Aimee got me a Hello Kitty-Ed out stocking with a variety of goodies inside!

Mr. Dubs got my the Nook Touch that I've been eying for a long time! I was so excited that I read a book within a day! In case you're interested it's called The Island of the Lost Girls. Not my favorite book but interesting enough that I got through it quickly!

And lastly for now, Mr. Emster got me some accessories for my new Nook! Yay!

Happy 1 year and 6 months (plus a day) to me and Mr. Dubs!

And Bebe too, that attention whore!

Two Days Till Christmas

TGIF! It's 2 days till Christmas and all my Christmas festivities are finally coming into play. I'm having Christmas dinners, exchanging presents and most of all seeing all the people I love. Last night, I went over to my cousin Tab and her boyfriend's place to have a casual little get together. Her boyfriend made home made honey baked ham and garlic rice and she made some delicious mac&cheese and scalloped potatoes! Yum yum!

The food.

Of course it wouldn't be a Christmas celebration without gift exchanging! Check out their cute little Christmas tree!

Tab asked me to guess which gift is mine, of course, the biggest and prettiest one is for me! I am so spoiled! Can you guess what was in my box?

A Lululemon track jacket! Craziest thing-- I had put "Lululemon Jacket/Hoodie" on my wish list and I didn't specify which one and I didn't even give her the list but she got the exact one I was looking at! That's how well she knows me and how much alike we are!

Next thing I want to show everyone is my new purse. I went to my local (and favorite) mall to do some last minute shopping and couldn't help it but wsnt through the purse section at Nordstrom. They usually don't have much sales since they just go to Nordie's Rack but I spotted this metallic Marc by Marc Jacobs sitting pretty on the sale table! I've wanted this shape for quite some time now but didn't want to get the black one. Love love love this color. I guess some would say its a tad bold but bronze to me is pretty neutral! :) Even matches my outfit perfectly! Can't beat sale prices, so I went for it!

Lastly, I wanted to leave you guys with a camwhore photo of me. My hair was at its biggest yesterday and I was asked by multiple people at work how I got that big hurr.

Hope everyone is done with their shopping and ready to enjoy these last few days before its all over!

Cheers!

Hump Day Madness

Happy hump day! Four days till Christmas and I can finally say that all Christmas shopping is now donezo! I thought I was finished a while ago but of course there are those last minute creepers.

First thing I wanna show you guys today is my newly acquired iPhone bow. I was initially skeptical of the bow but after I saw it live and in action on my cousin's phone, I knew I needed one!

Very cute right? :)

I also received my December Birch Box in the mail last night. I was unimpressed with the October and November boxes but wanted to stick around for December's to see what the holiday would bring and I can honestly say that today I will be canceling my January and all future boxes.

So here's the thing... I love the sparkly tissue and how everything is so presented so prettily. However, I feel like these are simply things I don't need and most likely will never use. I'm currently still working my part time holiday gig at Sephora and I get plenty a deluxe samples, I really don't need to pay $10 for a box of them. The only thing that I felt semi-connected to were the press-on nail stickers thingies. I've tried the Sally Hansen version and loved but I'm not too sure about zebra nails for work.

Alas, I leave you with some food porn. Last night I went on a dinner date with my dear KarTom and tried the best Korean place I've been to in a while. The soup, the banchan and the chicken wings were so good!

Happy hump day everyone!

Hello Thursday!

Happy Thursday! The week seriously flew by and I was almost about to say TGIF already! One more day!

Just thought I'd check in and give you a glimpse of my morning routine! I'm not a coffee drinking-- I worry about stably my pearly whites-- but I love tea. I recently discovered my love for Earl Grey and have been consuming a giant cup each morning! I also picks up some L'ara Bars from Trader Joe's. It's refreshing to each something that is made with so few ingredients and not overly processed.

Also grandma decided to spoil little Beebs with some bling accessories! That brat!

I had plans to go to the gym today but turns out I'm going to be getting my nails done with miss Ari!

Here's a video of my little Beebs!

Feast Your Eyes: Sushirrito

I haven't done a FYE in quite some time now and like I always say, it's definitely not because I haven't been eating. It's just that sometimes I get too into the moment to snap snap snap away.

More than a month ago, I visited this cute concept to go restaurant, just thought I'd share as I believe it may be unique to us San Franciscans!

The idea of making a sushi roll as big as a burrito. Sound yummy right?

The place is super teeny and to go only. When you order, your sushirrito is made in an assembly line-- very Chipotle ish actually. The sushirrito itself looks really small but surprisingly filling. I guess it's all the rice in it!

Was it super yums? Meh, it was alright. The concept is better than the taste. I was glad to finally have tried it though! Also I was very happy to see this. (below) Maybe it's a minor number to other big time bloggers but it makes me happy to know that people actually care and read my blog! Ahh, the simple things in life.

Tomorrow is hump day already-- we're inching closer and closer to the weekend!

My Fitness Pal

I heard on the radio one day that many women seriously considered giving up 10 years of their life span for their dream body. Heck, I seriously had to think about that one myself! (though 10 years is a long time!) The idea of having rock hard abs, flat tummy and thighs that won't jiggle is so appealing but let's face it, it's close to impossible.

Long gone are the high school days of flat tummies just by skipping a meal. I seriously spent my entire March-July working out like a maniac only to achieve minor steps to my desired body. To be fair though, last year is definitely the closest I've ever been to achieving my dream body, so hard work does pay off! Every New Year's I make the same effing diet/work out resolution and my biggest problem is staying focused past my birthday in November. It's almost like come the holidays, I loose all self control. This year, I'm determined to keep going and continue till 2012. I need to get my ideal body now-- before I start having kids! How am I going to achieve a banging body? Of course with an app on my beloved iPhone! I discovered My Fitness Pal last summer at the height of my workout life style. It makes working out, eating healthy and being conscious of all these things so much more attainable. Here is what it's icon looks like on my home screen and some snap shots of what you can do with the app.

In the app, you are able to create a profile with a target weight goal and a calorie plan.

Basically the idea is to notate everything you eat, drink and all the exercises you do in your diary.

I really love how this app actually has a wide variety of food saved on it. Check this out, all I had to do is scan my Trader Joe's brand yogurt and all nutrition facts automatically populated.

Neat huh? The best part is that this app is all free. If you're anything like me and make that same unattainable resolution each year, check this app out. It'll definitely help with organizing and keeping you motivated towards that dream body!

Happy Monday!
